It was 3 years later, late nite and Aya, Eve and Kyle were setting down to watch a good movie. Then the phone rang. Aya was hesitant to answer it because the past week she had been getting phone calls from a strange yet familiar sounding voice. Aya picked up the phone and said,"Hel.... Hello?". No answer. "Hello, who is this?". Then the same voice as before answered. "It's... time to... finish... what we... never ended... The time... is near...". "WHO IS THIS!?!", Aya screamed into the phone. The only reply was, "The time... is near...", in the same voice. Aya quickly slammed the phone down. Kyle got up and walked to Aya making sure Eve couldnt hear them talking. "It was him again, wasn't it?". "Yes. I wish I knew who he was and what he wanted. But he sounds so familiar that I'm sure that I know him." "Do you think we should tell Eve about this, I mean she could be in danger, too.", asked Kyle. "I don't know, we may have to but not just yet. I'm worried that if she gets too upset it might wake up the powers she thinks she lost. She may think they're gone but i still feel a great power within her. A very strong power." "You may be right, but she does need to kow just in case." "We'll tell her tomarrow." They continued on for a few minutes and then Eve called to them, "Who was that? Are you guys gonna come over and watch the movie?". The only thing Aya could think of is, "It was... uhh... a wrong number. We'll be there in a minute hun." Eve, discontently, turned around to watch the movie. "Not my fault if you miss the beggining, I warned you."

The next day at work, Aya was talking to Pierce about what had happened. "You know Aya, I could hook up a tap and trace the calls for you. Just say the word and presto!". "That's ok, but no. But I could use some more practice in the shoolng gallary, if you dont mind." Not at all, Let me prep the course and we'll get you started."

A little apprehensive about telling her, Aya and Kyle sat Eve down and began to explian things to her. Horror struck Eve as thoughts of who it might be and what they might do to them. "Do you know who it is then?" asked Eve. The only response that aya could muster was, "I only wish i knew who it was. I want you to be careful wherever you go. And always tell me where you are going and how long you are going to be and call me every once in awhile to let me know your ok. Promise me you will." "I promise."

The next day at work, Aya got called to Hal's office. The note said it was urgent. When she went into the office he motioned Aya to se down.
"Aya, I have some bad news. Rupert has been attacked and severely hurt."
Aya, in shock, replied, "How bad?"
"Pretty bad. He lost his left arm and broke 17 other bones. He has a concussion and is in and out of conciusness."
"What attacked him?"
"He keeps repeating something like "ape man, have to protect Aya, stop the damn ape", and that is why I called you in, I thought you might know what he means. If there is an anmc strong enough to do this to one of our best agents then I am very concerned with your safety as well as everyone else's."
She knew instantly who it was. It had to be No. 9. He is the only one strong enough to take down Rupert. Poor Rupert. All she could think of is that is was her fault that he was attacked. And Eve! Was she alright in school?
"I have to go now. Eve and Kyle may be in trouble!" responded Aya.
"Who is it then agent Brea?" shouted Hal as she ran out the door.
"It's No. 9!"

After Aya had made sure that Eve and Kyle were ok, she decided to go home and forget work. Hal would excuse her, she was sure of it. As she walked into her house she turned to lock the door. And as she did, her sense of know an attack suddenly flared up. So much so that it scared her half to death. She turned around just in time to see a shiny, metal blade swing at her head. She dodge it and pulled her gun just as the blade slashed through the door. The whole was so big from the slash that Aya could easily have put her head through it. Then, as Aya stood ready to fire, the figure jerked the blade free from the door and jumped back. There, in the shadow, stood a hunched over man weilding a shiny blade that could cut through Aya in an instant. The man was breathing deep and had a slight weeze in his breath. Aya knew it was No. 9. As he stepped closer to her aya yelled, "What do you want?"
"To finish what we started."
"And what is that?"
He walked out of the darkness and pointed his Gun-Blade straight at her and replied, "A fight to the death. Yours to be exact."
Just then, Kyle busted through the door, pointing his gun straight at No. 9.
"Well, well, unfair odds we have here. I guess we'll have to finish this later.", replied No. 9. With that he jumped to the window, smashed it, and leapt out.
Just in time to see him go I guess."
"Yeah you were. Lets get Eve. She's not safe any more."

What Aya had feared most had happened. When she got to Eve's school, kids were running and alarms were blaring. Struck with horror, Aya ran into the school trying to dodge kids and teachers alike. She wasnt sure were Eve was at that moment, so she started asking kids where she was. All she heard form them is "the lab, how is that possible?!?!" And so she headed for the lab area. When she got there, the mitochondria activity she felt was so great she thought she was going to explode. And as she got closer to the loud noises, the energy intensefied to the point that it was almost unbearable. Then she finaly got to the lab and when she opened the door, she about passed out. There, standing in the middle of the room, was Eve in a protecive force feild that Aya knew well and Energy Ball. And there was No. 9 slashing at the force feild with his gunblade. Eve was getting weaker as she tried to keep up the shield. Instantly, Aya cast Energy Shot and began fireing at him with her Mongoose. It bairly fazed No. 9 as she blasted him 20 or 30 times. He turned, scowled, and went back to what he was doing. Aya didnt know what to do. Then she knew. If Eve could keep up the force feild just long enough Aya could cast Life Drain and weaken him. She started casting and instantly it hit No. 9 and he fell to the floor, slightly twitching. Aya didnt take the time to finaly finish him off. She just rushed to Eve who was in the process of healing herself. As she stood up, Aya noticed she was looking at No. 9. Then at that moment he was up in a flash and gone.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, but thought my powers were gone. Why are they back?"
"Come on, I'll explain on the way to MIST headquarters."
On the way to MIST, Aya began to explain.
"We all thought you had lost your powers and were normal. But I began to wonder if they had just "fallen asleep", to put it in terms, and were just waiting for you to evoke them when you needed them. And of course you needed them to protect yourself. But the problem is MIAT doesnt know if you can control them just yet or not. Thats why I am taking you to the station, because MIST wants proof and have specialists who can help you."
"Do I have to? I mean come on, I controlled them pretty well back there, didnt I?"
"Yes but MIST wants proof of that and they have to know or they will throw a hissy fit."
"Ok, but only since you asked me to."
