PE2 Weapons

Tonfa Baton-with a miniscule range, this weapon requires you to get too close to NMCs.  Useful only when ammo is depleted.  Aya has it from the start.

M93R-firing the plentiful 9mm P.B. rounds, this will your main weapon throughout most of the game.  You can use this weapon indefinitely on the MIST firing range.  Aya has it from the start.

M950-this is heavier and clumsier than the M93R.  Because it can fire 100 9mm Rounds continuously, however, it becomes the must-use weapon for the Shelter and beyond.  Load 9mm Hydra bullets for a better effect.  Aya may receive this from Mr. Douglas in his Trailer Coach after the Burner Boss fight, but only if Flint is still alive.

M4A1-the M4A1 tactical assault riffle is easily the most versatile weapon in the game.  You can enlarge the magazine capacity with clip attachments; attach a grenade launcher, a bayonet, a wonderful taser (or hammer), a flamethrower, or even a laser gun.  Purchase this item as soon as possible, and the attachments ASAP.  It is probably one of two weapons you could play the entire game with.  Aya may purchase it for 2450 BP.

Rifle Clip Holder-this attachment allows you to increase the bullet capacity of the M4A1 to 60 rounds.  Aya can purchase this for 1800 BP.  You can use two Riffle Clip Holders on the M4A1 Assault Riffle, expanding the capacity to 90 rounds.  Aya can purchase two of these clips for 3600 BP.

M9 Bayonet-this knife fits squarely under the barrel of the M4A1.  Pressing the R2 button in combat, mostly used for close range, uses it.  Aya may purchase it for 980 BP.

M203 Launcher-this allows you to fire any type of grenade from under the barrel of the M4A1.  Aya may purchase it for 2130 BP.

Pyke-Once again fitting under the barrel of the M4A1, this allows you to spread a flame in a cylinder shape at your enemies.  Mr. Douglas sells it if you return to his Trailer Coach late in the game (anytime during your shelter exploration).  Aya may purchase it for 5180 BP.

Javelin-this laser that fits under the barrel of the M4A1 is a laser that pierces through your enemies with ease.  It can even cut through a row of enemies, killing them all at the same time! It can be bought from the Master Arms in the Shelter Heliport.  Aya can purchase it for 7500 BP.

Hammer- this attachment for the M4A1 allows the weapon to fire a single burst of electricity to not only deal damage, but stun enemies as well.  Although it is a great attachment it has a very short range. Since it's battery operated it can only last 40 bursts before going dead. Recharging is free and it's very good against later enemies. Unfortunately this has no effect on Red Golems. Buy it as soon as you have enough BP in order to breeze through the later parts of the game.

MP5A5-this weapon will let you fire 30 bullets non-stop, but it has weak firepower.  It has a flashlight under the barrel to blind your enemies that are accustomed to dark and is rechargeable at most shops (it doesnt cost anything to recharge it.  Using a clip attachment can expand the bullet capacity.  Aya can buy this gun for 6980 BP later in the game.

SMG Clip Holder-this expands the bullet capacity of the MP5A5 to 60 rounds.  Aya can buy this at the Master of Arms in the Shelter Heliport for 3980 BP.  Aya can buy two SMG Clip Holders the increase the MP5A5s bullet capacity to 90 rounds.

M249-this is the MOST powerful riffle in the game, it shoots 200 rounds consecutively at a high rate of power.  This item is only available to purchase from the Master of Arms in the Shelter Parking Lot if Aya gives Flint Eves Teddy Bear and rescues the blind soldier.  It can also be bought in a shop in REPLAY mode when a C rank is acquired.  Aya can buy this gun for 15800 BP.

P08-this antique gun is sold by Gary Douglas; this automatic pistol has a fantastic reload time, but fires only one bullet at a time.  Avoid buying it on impulse.  Aya can buy it for 680 BP.

P229-this gun has a flashlight under the barrel that can stun your enemies.  Although its only a single-shot weapon, the P229 fires with a force that you can feel through your controller.  Aya can find this item in the WEST Mine or she can buy it later for 1880 BP.

Mongoose-.44 Magnum fire power with more style, its the ultimate handgun in the game.  Finding ammo is a pain, the firepower is terrible, and it kicks like crazy.  This gun can take down a variety of enemies with one shot and is great with GOLEM soldiers.  Rupert MUST be at the Shelter Heliport, and Aya must speak with him to get this.  It can be purchased in REPLAY mode if a rank of D is attained.  Aya can purchase it (in Replay mode) for 2850 BP.

PA3-the first shotgun available to purchase, it is something of a rip-off unless youre starting BOUNTY mode.  Its power and range are terrible, and it fires & reloads too slowly.  But it will destroy large bunches of small enemies like nobodies business.  Aya can purchase it for 1000 BP.

SP12-this pump action shotgun is far more reliable than the PA3, especially in the face of multiple enemies.  Reloading is still a hassle, but not many common enemies will be around after youve emptied out seven slugs.  Aya must find this item in the shelter.  It can be purchased in REPLAY mode for 3980 BP.

AS12-the grand-daddy of all shotguns, this handle pump bruiser fires 20 shells from a cylinder magazine without reload.  Loading this weapon with R.Slugs makes the final stages of NORMAL mode so easy, its a sin.  Try to achieve a rank of E so that you can purchase it at the start of your next game.  Aya can purchase this weapon for 12500 BP.

Grenade Pistol-this weapon fires a variety of property damage and crowd control 40mm grenades.  While it has a terrible reloading speed and rate of fire, it is crucial to survive Boss fights throughout the first half of the game.  It is one of two weapons that can be used to play the entire game.  Aya finds it in the Akropolis Tower, and can purchase it later for 1680 BP.

MM1-this is a weapon that makes the entire game a synch.  Those whove been caught by the slow reload of the one-shot Grenade Pistol or M203 Attachment will be in love at first sight with this.  The final Bosses dont stand a chance with this around.  This weapon only becomes available from the Master of Arms in the Shelter Parking Lot if you give Eves Teddy Bear to Flint and rescue the Blind Soldier.  Its also available in REPLAY mode if you receive a B rank.  Aya can purchase it for 23500 BP.

Hypervelocity-this is an experimental, hand-held railgun that is only available in REPLAY mode.  You can purchase it any shop if you achieve an A rank.  However, this weapon is so heavy and kicks so hard that Ayas abilities to run and evade attack are reduced to nil.  It also requires a full 30 seconds to charge up before it fires! However, if you have the time and space to wait for Aya to lift it, charge, and then shoot it, almost nothing will be standing on the other end.  Aya can purchase the Hypervelocity for 20,000 BP.

Gunblade-lovers of SQUARESOFT games will recognize this as the symbolic weapons from FINAL FANTASY VIII.  It operates in exactly the same fashion.  You can load it with any type of shotgun ammo.  Press R1 to swing, and then press R2 upon the instant of impact to fire the slug.  The extra damage inflicted depends on the shells used.  Loading R.Slugs in this weapon is crazy; you can inflict nearly 3000 HP damage!  The Gunblade is only available in REPLAY mode, when an S rank is achieved.  Aya can purchase it for 10,000 BP.
